OUR STORY
There once was a boy from a small village on the
outskirts of Budapest and he dreamed that one day…
He would travel the world and explore his culinary dreams. Of course I am this boy, and my name is Attila. I grew up in a vibrant culture that has always celebrated family and food. Simply put, Hungarian life is based around togetherness - either eating or preparing to eat! I wanted to introduce Melbourne to this unique culture, through an utterly authentic street dessert.
Visitors to Eastern Europe recall the sweet aroma of freshly baked Kurtosh in the streets. The pastry is centuries old and traditionally baked over hot coals for celebrations such as weddings and village fairs. The result is an unmistakable tall and twisted pastry, which is not a simple donut, cake or bread, but a heavenly combination of all three.
To bring the concept into the modern day, a Food Truck was chosen as the perfect way to share this festive dessert!
